RIA News, 25 May. The Internet Development Institute (IRI) and the Government of Moscow have signed an agreement on cooperation and collaboration for the development of digital health technologies, as set out in the joint press release of the parties.

The Agreement provides for the establishment of a joint scientific and practical laboratory for the development and testing of innovative telemedicine applications. The laboratory will be based on the IRI Internet+Medicine Competence Centre, as reported.

The agreement also provides for the pilot implementation of innovative technologies created by the project " Online Remote Medical Consultations " .

"The triple development of new technologies cannot but affect an important social sector such as medicine. The widespread introduction of information technologies and the possibility of analysing a large body of data offer new prospects for health development. The joint work of the Government of Moscow and IRI should contribute to the commercialization and scaling-up of successful projects in Moscow and in the world, is contained in a communication from the Deputy Mayor of Moscow on economic policy and land relations of Natalia Sergunina.

"Telemedicina is a relatively young modern health project and needs careful legal regulation and economic and social problems. Pilot telemedicine projects will be developed within the framework of a road map that the city will develop. The Government of Moscow and IRI will organize special pilot zones for which a working group will be established with the participation of urban health facilities, and in turn the Council ' s adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, IRI Herman Climenko.
